Garaventa Artira - Standard Features
Listed below are some of the many standard features on this product. For more detailed information please contact our sales team or refer to the Artira Planning Guide.
Drive System - The standard rope sprocket drive system uses a 2 HP motor located in a locked drive cabinet at the upper landing of the stairway. The power requirement for the Artira wheelchair lift is 208 to 240 VAC single phase on a dedicated 20 amp circuit. This type of drive system allows the Artira to make up to seven stops.
Rated Load - 660lbs. Capacity
Platform Sizes

- 31 1/2 x 41 3/8"
- 31 1/2 x 35 3/8"
- 27 1/2 x 29 1/2" (residential only)
Platform Features
- Platform Controls - consist of large easy to use constant pressure control buttons, an emergency stop button and grab rail to assist the passenger with boarding the platform and departing the lift when it arrives at the landing.
- Curved Safety Arms - fully automatic arms are located 37 3/8" above the platform. When in the guarded position, the safety arms do not impede the clear platform size.
- Smooth Start and Stop - the platform is designed to slow before reaching turns in the stairway and when approaching or leaving the landings.
- Pedestrian Safety Lights - located on the platform near the base of the ramps. These lights flash discreetly during travel and alert the stairway pedestrians that the lift is in use.
- Ramp Sensing - the Artira has a variety of sensors that will automatically stop the lift when activated by 4 lbs. of pressure. These sensors are located under the platform and on the inside and outside of the ramps. Also there is a leading ramp sensor used when the platform is traveling in the folded position.
Call Stations - The call station controls use Smart-Lite Technology which guides the user through the operation of the lift. The call stations are located at each landing and automatically fold and unfold the curved safety arms, platform and ramps. The call stations are also used to call the lift to the landing.
Finish - The Artira is powder coated in Satin Grey textured paint with stainless steel arms.
